A crappy banner for all
September 27th, 2004God, Labour’s conference banner ads are garish and ugly. And they look like they were done in 5 seconds in Paint Shop Pro. They should have got Tim Ireland to have done one, his ads can be a bit slicker.
Also, what’s up with the hideous bright pink background for the conference podium? Watching Newsnight, it looks like Gordon Brown had dyed the tips of his hair blue.

Oh, mate, you’re absolutely spot on with your comment re: this banner. I’ve just this minute looked at it from your link, now Im a staunch labour support, not because I like their policies or them, but simply because I like them better than the alternatives. But this is just the kind of thing thats put me off voting at all! It just shows a complete lack of….lack of…I don’t know, style? Simply drops politics back into the dark ages when politicians were the last thing anyone would associate to style. Almost makes me go and put my vote elsewhere…almost ;-)
